1/26/2023 0 Comments S.A. Needs New Leaders and Dreamers to Inspire Us with Confidence & Speak Truth to PowerMy fellow South Africans,
We are facing a crisis, a challenge unlike any we have seen before. But I want to remind you that this is not the first time our nation has been tested. We have faced adversity before, and we have always come out stronger on the other side. We have faced challenges as a nation, and we have always overcome them. We have faced the June 16, 1976, riots, war and strife between Inkatha Freedom party and the ANC in the 80's and many other challenges. We have always come out stronger because of our resilience, our determination and our unity. We are a country of fighters, a country of dreamers, a country of doers. We are South Africa, and we will not be defeated by this crisis. By load shedding, crime, corruption, nepotism, job loses or political instability.
So, I ask you, my fellow South Africans to join me in this fight. I ask you to stand with me, to work with me, to fight with me. I ask you to be the best version of yourselves. To be the fighters, the dreamers, the doers that you are. Together, we will conquer this crisis. Together, we will rise above it. Together, we will make South Africa livable again.
Finally, my fellow citizens, we must remember that we are not just a people, we are a nation. We are a nation of laws, of institutions, of traditions. We are a nation that is built on the principles of freedom, of democracy, of justice. We must protect and defend these principles, we must uphold them, we must live by them. Because it is only by living by these principles that we will truly be able to achieve our common goals, and to build a better future for all. My fellow citizens, We have discussed the crisis we are facing and the importance of speaking truth to power and demanding change from our leaders. But it is not enough to simply talk about change, we must also take action to make it happen. One practical solution is to engage our communities and empower them to take action. We must work together to build a strong grassroots movement that can push for change from the bottom up. We must organize and mobilize our communities to demand accountability from our leaders and to push for policies that benefit the people. Another solution is to use our voices and our votes to make change happen. We must make sure that our leaders are held accountable for their actions and that they are held to the highest standards of integrity and morality. We must vote out of office those who fail to live up to these standards and we must vote in those who will work for the people. We must also use our economic power to make change happen. We must support businesses and organizations that align with our values, and we must speak out against those that do not. We must also use our power as consumers to demand products and services that are sustainable and ethically produced. Another solution is to invest in education and capacity building, to empower our communities with the knowledge and skills they need to effect change. By investing in education, we can ensure that our citizens are equipped to make informed decisions, to be engaged citizens and active participants in the political process. Finally, we must remember that the solutions to these problems are not only political, but also societal. We must work to build a more inclusive, tolerant and compassionate society that is grounded in empathy, understanding, and mutual respect. We must actively work to dismantle the systems of oppression and discrimination that have been holding us back, and we must actively work to build a society that is truly just and equitable for all. Together, we can make change happen. Together, we can build a better future for ourselves, for our children and for all the generations to come. In closing let me remind you about these 5 important traits of leadership you might inherit or possess with your calling if you act with coherence and a positive attitude to make things happen instead wonder what happened!
& God bless South Africa and all who live in it.
